Peach Cold Foam at Home

I’ll be honest—peach in coffee didn’t immediately sound like a winning combo to me. It came about because I found a bag of frozen peaches from last summer in the bottom of the chest freezer and I had (lazily) not peeled the peaches… the list of things I enjoy using frozen peaches with the skins still on is like… one thing. Peach Simple Syrup. So I had a big batch of that going for me. And in the back of my mind, I kept being like “I love using simple syrups for cold foam. Use it for cold foam.” It felt like one of those things that could be good… or could be very questionable. But after trying it in cold foam? Holy cow. It’s creamy, lightly sweet, and has just enough fresh peach flavor to make every sip feel like the best kind of warm summer peach cobbler/peach ice cream/peach perfection. And the best part? This peach cold foam isn’t just good on coffee—it’s amazing on just about everything.
There’s just something about peaches that works so well when it’s softened into a silky, lightly sweet foam that I did not expect. Obviously I should have, since, you know, peaches and cream. Duh. Anyways, this version uses our homemade peach simple syrup (which is incredibly easy to make and worth having on hand and I make by the quart), and it turns any iced drink into something that feels a little extra special. You’ve gotta try it.
Why You’ll Love This Peach Cold Foam
- Made with real peaches using homemade syrup (skips the artificial stuff or the peach “natural flavor”)
- Comes together in under 2 minutes
- Perfect for iced coffee, cold brew, lemonade, or even iced chai
- Light, fluffy texture perfection
If you’ve already made a batch of peach simple syrup, this is one of the easiest (and most delicious) ways to use it—right up there with stirring it into lemonade or adding it to iced tea.
What Is Cold Foam?
Cold foam is a frothed milk topping that’s served cold instead of steamed. It sits beautifully on top of iced drinks, creating that creamy layer you sip through with every drink. It’s a mix between creamer and whipped cream except it’s somehow better than either one of those.
If you’ve tried making other flavors like our vanilla sweet cream cold foam or even something a little more fun like strawberry cheesecake or blueberry cobbler cold foam, this peach version fits right in—but with a fresh, summery twist.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons milk (any kind works, but 2% or whole gives the best texture)
- 2–3 tablespoons homemade peach simple syrup (I go heavy on the peach syrup for this one)
- Optional: 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (to give more of a peach cobbler flavor)
How to Make Peach Cold Foam
- Add ingredients to a frother or jar
Combine heavy cream, milk, peach simple syrup, and vanilla (if using). - Froth until thick and creamy
Use a handheld milk frother, electric frother (this is my absolute favorite frother), or shake vigorously in a mason jar. You’re looking for a pourable but fluffy consistency. - Pour over your drink
Spoon or pour the foam over iced coffee or cold brew.
How to Use Peach Cold Foam
This is where this recipe feels different from most of my other cold foam recipes —it’s not just for coffee.
Try it on:
- Iced coffee or cold brew
- Lemonade (our shaken lemonade with this syrup is SO GOOD)
- Iced latte
- Iced chai tea (it’s so good here)
- Iced matcha for a fruity twist
Tips for the Best Cold Foam
- Use cold ingredients – this helps it whip up better
- Don’t over-froth – you want it creamy and pourable, not stiff like whipped cream
- Adjust sweetness – add more or less peach syrup depending on your taste
- Use whole milk or higher for the best texture
Can You Make It Without Heavy Cream?
Yes! If you want a lighter option:
- Swap heavy cream for half-and-half
- Or use a barista-style oat milk
- Even using just whole milk works just fine – in fact I’m starting to love this version even more. It’s creamy and silky and light.
Just keep in mind the foam will be a bit lighter and less thick.
How to Store
Peach cold foam is best enjoyed fresh, but you can store the unfrothed mixture in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
Make It a Full Drink
Want to turn this into a full coffee shop drink experience? Try this:
Peach Cold Foam Iced Coffee
- Fill a glass with ice
- Add cold brew or iced coffee
- Sweeten lightly (use a touch of peach syrup in the coffee too)
- Top with peach cold foam
If you love recreating coffee shop drinks at home, this is right up there with our seasonal favorites like banana bread iced lattes, sugar cookie lattes, or even a classic iced brown sugar shaken espresso.
An Unexpected Favorite (That You’ll Keep Making)
If you’re on the fence about peach and coffee, consider this your sign to try it. It might not sound like an obvious pairing—but once you taste that creamy peach cold foam melting into your drink, it just works.
And once you start adding it to everything? Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
