Healthy Two-Ingredient Pretzel Bites (With Baking Soda Wash)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup self-rising flour or 1 cup AP flour + 1½ tsp baking powder + ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt nonfat or whole

Baking Soda Wash:

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tbsp baking soda

Optional Toppings:

  • 1 egg for egg wash
  • Coarse salt cinnamon sugar, or everything bagel seasoning

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Mix flour and Greek yogurt in a bowl. Knead for 2–3 minutes on a floured surface until smooth.
  • Roll dough into a long rope and cut into 1-inch bites.
  • Bring 2 cups of water to a boil; stir in baking soda. Reduce to a simmer.
  • Dip each pretzel bite in the baking soda bath for 20–30 seconds, then place on the baking sheet.
  • Brush with egg wash (if using) and sprinkle with desired toppings.
  • Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden brown.
  • Let cool slightly and serve warm.
