Baking Soda and Vinegar Volcano
Materials
- 2-3 tbsp baking soda
- 1 tsp dish soap optional, for extra fizz
- 1 cup water
- vinegar
- food coloring
- small container or plastic bottle
- playdough or modeling clay
- tray or baking dish optional, to contain the mess
- funnel optional, for easier pouring
Instructions
- If you want to make a super cool realistic volcano, mound the playdough or modeling clay around the bottle or container to make it look like a volcano.
- Fill water bottle or small container with water, baking soda, dish soap and food coloring. Stir gently to mix.
- Pour in the vinegar and watch the science happen!
