If you love the taste of classic s’mores (who doesn’t???) but want an easy, no-mess twist that doesn’t require a campfire (or toddlers crying when you burn their marshmallow and it falls into the fire – just me?), you’re going to love these cute little walking smores! They’re perfect for summer playdates, birthday parties, camping trips, or just a fun afternoon snack—and the best part is they come together in minutes using simple, easy to pack/travel with ingredients.

What Are Walking S’mores?

Inspired by the popular “walking tacos,” Walking S’mores are a portable, mix-it-in-the-bag version of the classic treat. Kids (and adults!) can customize their own snack, and cleanup is a breeze. No sticky fingers or burnt marshmallows— these bring together the best of the smores taste with the ease of a trail mix.

Ingredients:

  • Individual-size bags of Teddy Grahams (any flavor works—classic honey (obviously closest to a graham cracker classic smore), chocolate, or cinnamon)
  • Mini marshmallows
  • Chocolate chips

How to Make Walking S’mores:

  1. Gently open a bag of Teddy Grahams at the top. Try not to tear the sides—this will be your serving “bowl.” If you’re not confident in your tearing abilities, grab a scissors. A rip down the side and teddy grahams all over the floor is kinda a deal breaker here.
  2. Add a handful of mini marshmallows right into the bag.
  3. Toss in a spoonful of chocolate chips or my favorite variation – break up a piece of a Hershey’s bar and drop it in.
  4. Grab a spoon and enjoy right out of the bag!

Other Variations & Tips:

  • Try using peanut butter chips, butterscotch chips, or white chocolate for a twist.
  • Use a different base – mini Oreos, BelVita bites, or even mini Nutter Butters are fan favorites around here!
  • Want to go nut-free or dairy-free? Use allergy-friendly chocolate and marshmallow brands.
  • Hosting a party? Set up a DIY Walking S’mores Bar where kids can mix their own combo. This is such a cute way to give kids some autonomy in a way that really can’t go wrong because every combo is delicious.

Why We Love Walking S’mores:

  • No campfire or oven required
  • Great for kids and on-the-go snacking
  • Perfect portion size
  • Customizable (hello independent kids!) and fun to make!

These little snack packs are sure to be a hit whether you’re at a picnic, in the backyard, or just enjoying a cozy outdoor movie night. Walking Smores bring all the nostalgia of summer camping with none of the hassle.
